A Blind Dream (2025) combines pastel animation and paper cutouts to depict a lucid dream centered on a family road trip. I was raised in a household where communication was minimal, and courtesy was paramount. Growing up in that environment, I often found myself wondering what shaped these family dynamics.

This animation is a compilation of dreams I had during childhood—bizarre, abstract, and sometimes traumatic. Each dream reflects the social environment I was brought up in and explores how those surroundings shaped my perception of what it means to form and be part of a family. Through dream logic and fragmented storytelling, A Blind Dream visualizes the emotional dissonance of growing up in silence and attempts to process the complexity of love, distance, and belonging within the family structure.
